Best Day of the Year!

A cool, in the 60's, high-flying-sky day!
We were out for an hour this morning. I actually ran for nearly a minute... 5 or 6 times, with some tolerable knee discomfort. Running in the wind: energizing!

Trees are crying for water.
Yesterday a weather person on a local TV station reported the lack of rain in most of the 9 county area here "a cruel joke".

Some fireworks skyrocket flowers benefitting from owner-watering.

Garden Tour coming up.

Flowers in front of Family Means which is benefactor of the garden tour.

We can now only water our lawns and gardens three days a week, for up to 10 minutes. Needless to say, we don't have the beautiful plants in bloom like you do. Of course, we haven't had rain for months...and won't until November or December.

Even we are dry. Just told my husband we'd better water the rhodies - which doesn't need doing very often.

Hurray for running with minimal pain!

I live in an arid area - NEVER get much rain, so we never see such beautiful flowers and such.

Beautiful pix. We've had a really mild July here in DC so far. My 10-Mile training group is getting really spoiled with cool four mile runs in the heart of the summer here.

Congrats on your return to running. That is just wonderful. I love the cool weather but the dryness is getting worrisome.
