First Snowfall

Monday and Tuesday were spectatular... September weather!
Also, we are celebrating some election results and hoping for restored international relations.. and other good changes.

Chickadees, nuthatches and cardinals flocked to the feeder when the snow came on Thursday.

Later this week: Freezing weather and time to sign up at indoor track center.

Summer: lots of races, 5 marathons, some half marathons, and where did it go??

Amendment... Don ran 5 marathons.. and that 10 miles that was supposed to be a marathon in St. Charles.
Sweet Pea and I did only 2 marathons (sigh), 3 half marathons, the Twin Cities 10 mile .. and many shorter races: 5K, 8K, 10K

Wow, I can't believe you've got snow. Guess you are right, time for you to head indoors. We have been having drenching buckets of rain, so wet I've had to wring my clothes out after only one hour. Today was nice though - for the first hour and a half, then got soaked for the last half hour. Oh, well, at least it's not snow!

Yes, we've had snow the last two days as well. Nothing sticking fortunately! From shorts to tights in two days.

Wow, is it that time again? Guess time flies when you're busy. Looking forward to finding out what indoor running is all about soon :-)

Only did two marathons this year? Is that all? I did one (the Pig, same as you & Sweet Pea & Don, some variation on halfs and wholes) and am having trouble prepping for a 2nd. I think the year's going to run out instead.

How 'bout that 'Bama? Just like in '04, Minnesota likes to be courted, but came through, in solid blue.

We were expecting snow here today. Didn't happen so I'm not complaining. I did maintain the treadmill today as it will be getting used again. I am probably trying out the Las Vegas Marathon next month. It is close to me and while I am still trained for it!

I admire your cheery attitude about the first snow.

I'm already not happy with the cold snap.... fully well knowing that this is really just the beginning.

CONGRATS on a great 2008 summer. You ran some awesome races.

It seems different countries, different cultures, we really can decide things in the same understanding of the difference!
