Tagged: 7 things about me

NOTE: If you would like to be "tagged" and write 7 interesting/fun/weird/whatever things about you... consider yourself tagged. Among folks who have commented on this blog you may find some who have chosen to list 7 things about themselves.

1. I love running marathons and have actually finished a dozen (12 !). That's besides some like Chicago, unfinished, but fun.12 finished 2. Sweet Pea, my running partner, always sets our pace.
3. I love weather, always changing. Rain on Gateway Trail 4. Life is short ... really. Sigh.

5. The last summer I detasseled corn, I was a crew leader in charge of 15 other teenage girls.

6. I like sleeping in my own bed.

7. SEVEN favorite foods:

mango, pineapple, nectarines, apricots, melon, berries
.... (probably is a whole "food group" ?)
oatmeal date bars
roasted hazelnuts
dark, free trade chocolate
buttered popcorn
real ice cream without a lot of chemicals
plain skim milk (free trade coffee) lattes

PS... Well, yes, I eat lots of a variety of vegetables every day, but vegetables are not my favorite foods. However, I have come a long way from junk foods?

Great list! Love the photos. I realized #4 when my dad died of cancer shortly after he retired at 64. In many ways, it was perhaps his most valuable lesson to me. I might include that in my 7 (was tagged twice recently).

Thank you for your list. I love your photos of the medals and your foods! Hope you have a nice weekend. Any races coming up?

No thank you! No tagging for me. I guess that I am just not interesting!

Sunshine! I am going to link to your blog from mine! I hope you don't mind!

Your medals are nicely displayed. Eric and I have ours lumped up on a single peg each - you can't even see the ones at the back. Keep thinking we need to do something about that. Many of the races we do don't have medals, so we want to display our bibs too.

Thanks for sharing the list - I like reading others (you find out such interesting things) but not doing them myself.

Thanks for visiting my blog!

Hey, that's a great pic of your medals! Would you mind if I posted it on my other blog "26.2 Bling"?

Great! Thanks for letting me post your pic. Could I ask you to send me a note with the name and year of each race? Thanks again!

I love the medals! I see at least one marathon that I ran as well. The Portland Marathon and it looks like that year also. I enjoyed the list.

GREAT List Sunshine!

Nat got me too.

It was a fun exercise (and my heart rate stayed nice and low -- unlike when I am out there running!)

Talk to you soon!

I am always so impressed with your marathons! Someday maybe I can rise to your inspiration and motivation!

I would really appreciate your linking to my blog. Under Men who run would be excellent! Thanks for the opportunity!

You still have nothing but nice things to say about Chicago! You are so good! I'm working on my attitude (I've progressed to--I grumble about the "fun run" but it's a great race). It's great to run with somebody, isn't it? I think I've been depressed since 2 of my running buddies moved out of town last summer and the third started in on ultras and he's always injured now. But today was my best day b/c I ran 12K solo.

I've done 12 marathons too! And I like the first half of your food list. Unfortunately, I dislike chocolate and can't eat or drink dairy. But I'm cravin' melons and berries now :-)

12 marathons! I'm so impressed. I've only done one, and while I have hopes to do at least another, a dozen seems sort of unfathomable. Cheers to you.
