Winter Cometh !!

First measureable snow Still descending, blanketing the Twin Cities. Slippery for driving and runnning.

This morning we attended the myeloma information and support group meeting: 2 more newly diagnosed people. Everyone shares the results of their treatments and how they are doing. We always learn more. People asked me to share nightshade-free recipes next time. Click on MINNESOTA MYELOMA to view the new web site set up by Don and others.
snow When we drove over to St. Louis Park, the snow was beginning to fall, drifting lightly across the freeway. The drive back, on local streets, was greasy and time consuming. This is our car when we drove into the garage.

We knew this weather was eventually coming. But it can be beautiful out there.

Hi Sunshine - I wonder if you have time in your busy life for a nightshade free recipe blog?!?

how wonderful that would be - like the white stuff, I've never seen it in real life, one of those things I may never yet get to do, but again get to live it vicariously though wonderful warm sharing souls such as yourself :-)

I like snow. It's what I miss here in DC which has raw, blustery winter weather. When it snows here, it's icy. I used to live in Boulder which has more sunny days than San Diego yet gets more snow than Minneapolis. But we would shovel it one day, and it would vanish the next day (see the San Diego reference). Your photo was wonderful.

Oh, it's beautiful! I came to answer your question - Mt. Peak (aka Pinnacle Peak and Mt. Pete) is a little mountain near the town of Enumclaw, at the base of the foothills of Rainier. It's a quick 1800 foot climb in about a mile and a half. It's got some interesting geology - columnar joining. It kind of stands out because it is in the middle of a plateau.

Yes, sigh, we have the same mess here. I guess we'd better just get used to this. Its here to stay for a while at least.

Oh my, the snow, it is a comin! Supposed to get another 5 inches in Iowa tomorrow.

Stopping by to remind you of 8 on the 8th. Hope you can join us (even if on the treadmill!) I posted some race shirts on my site. If you join us, be sure to post a race report and then stop by to let me know that you have so I can put it in the results!
