The wonderful train trip, from Fort Madison, Iowa, to the Albuquerque Marathon and Half!
You can click on any picture to enlarge. Three of us were taking pictures, so we have not attempted to arrange them here in any particular order.
The train arrives in Fort Madison, on an historic bridge over the Mississippi, and crosses the Missouri at Kansas City. Some scenery below is in the mountains of southern Colorado and northern New Mexico.
Autumn color in mid-October was good.

Leaving Chicago June 6
Union Station and the roar of the AMTRAK engines
After a informative time at ASCO and some good run and walk in Chicago...
A last glimpse from the train: good by Chicago; see you next time.
Rain as we crossed southern Wisconsin.
That's a RAINBOW at the end of the track (though the back window).
This is the second time in a week that we have been treated to rainbows on the trip back home.
Dinner in the dining car, looking out over the Mississippi River between Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Sunset reflected on the river. The end of a perfect trip and a perfect day. Every day is the best day of the year.
Yes, we are running!
