Nike Running Shoes

Congratulations, NIKE!
Newsweek, September 28, ranks 500 big companies: The Greenest Big Companies in America....
And NIKE is 7th (SEVENTH) out of 500!

"Nike requires more than 650 contract factories in 52 countries to have written environmental policies. Its entire manufacturing process generates less waste than its retail packaging. New shoes are made frm green materials, such as recycled polyester." see Newsweek, September 28, page 37.

I love my Nikes.

Love most things Nike -- the toe box contines to be a little narrow for me. BUT! Love their clothes!

Sweet Pea's and my feet are only a little wider than average, and the Nikes fit just fine; I guess we are lucky.
Thanks for commenting, Amybee.

I'm Asics, period. Although I love what Nike is doing, my feet are my running life and Asics feed them and by running I don't consume so much other scarce resources like medical services due to obesity or inactivity so if Asics is behind Nike (probably so) the world is still way ahead, sez he who weighed 220 in 2000.

Congratulations, Peter! How great to have found what works for you, and great for those who have benefitted from your running leadership.

PS about the toe box: Nikes do come in different styles. My last ones have quite a wide toe box.
