I will be volunteering at the finish line of the new marathon. I'm running Fargo in early May, so I can't run this one. My husband will be, though! I'll look for you and your life partner if you guys are running.

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I love your Emerson quotation and the names you chose for yourself and your title! Your pictures of Birmingham are beautiful - especially the churches. I grew up close by in Nashville and just love those gobs of churches everywhere in every architectural style imaginable. So glad to "meet" you.

I'll let you know what job I'm doing when they tell me, but it should be at the finish line. I'll look for Don. Thanks for your thoughts on my coach. Don't worry, he's a sweetie... just doing his "coachy" thing of trying to get me to try my best. He's got his heart in the right place. :)

I'm lusting after their finisher's jacket. If I wasn't doing RnR Seattle, I'd sign up for this one in a heartbeat!

How wonderful to have another option and one that gives a nice finisher's jacket! And timely also that Southwest Airlines is now flying into MSP!

PS - The 26.2 with Donna (aka National Breast Cancer Marathon) in Jacksonville, FL, also has a 7 hour time limit. I missed doing the half this year due to illness but a number of people I know did both the half and full and said it was a very well organized race. It's a fairly expensive race, though!
