10K on Indoor Track

Last year at this time we were doing marathons every other month. It is about time to start doing some longer runs, but the cold weather and the indoor track have not inspired me.
Anyway, I am trying to think of the 10K yesterday as some sort of beginning!

LATER PS: You can read about our trip to Mayo Clinic today at Myeloma Hope.

I don't blame you for not being motivated to do long runs indoors. A 10K sounds like a great beginning!

A 10k is a great beginning. Only 20 more to go! I think you've done great keeping it going through all the snowy weather. It takes perserverance to run indoors all winter.

Nice work getting started. Before you know it, you'll be outside.

Yes, it is getting to be that time of year when the weather needs to change! It is hard to keep going week after week and never seeing any sign of spring. But it will come! Its one of those things that we know will happen--eventually. Good job on the 10k. I know how hard it is to continue to plug along going no where it seems.

Get the inspiration/motivation where ever you can is my motto. :)

Yes, warm weather is coming! Plus, the clocks change this weekend, though that won't help early morning runners. But I'll take even the illusion of longer days...

Hang in there, longer runs are coming, too...

I am with you. I'm trying to get back in the swing of things too. It seems like a long ways back to where I was a few months ago but we'll all just keep plugging along until this snow melts! :)

I can barely make 3 miles inside, it is so boring.

You just need some spring weather!

I've only run on an indoor track once in my life. Is it worse than running on a treadmill?
