After the marathon: small step recovery

Saturday ... 4K in the neighborhood
Sunday ... 4K Rocky's Run Race
Monday ... tiny bit of weight lifting
Tuesday ... 9K at Community Center track
Wednesday ... a little more weight lifting
Thursday ... Who knows?? Maybe some miles....

I love the month after a marathon. I plot out my recovery (return to running) like this--1 run the first week, 2 runs the 2d week, etc., til I'm back to 5 runs a week the fifth week. It's actually a formula for loafing!

But let's see: how does that mesh with running Chicago (admittedly, a fun run), Marine Corps, and NYC in a month?

Good for you doing some weight lifting! I always liked the look of nicely toned arms, and found after a while it gave me more endurance in races too. Keep it up!
