Why Did the Turkeys Cross the Road?

Sweet Pea and I did more than 8 miles on Gateway... walking/running.
A gorgeous day to be out... temperature in the low 50s.
Only 4 days ago the world was wrapped in a couple of inches of fresh lovely snow.. and today the trail was clear and dry.

We think kitties should be kept indoors.. for the sake of songbirds.
But we do think it is fun to spot a kitty while we are running.

Today... an unusual number of dogs.. with owners.. on the trail.
Lots of solitary men on bicycles and a few runners.
On the drive home we slowed down for the wild turkeys to cross the road.
Barbecued boneless pork ribs and sweet potatoes in a crockpot waiting for us when we came home for supper.

blessings to you as well.

The other day on my run I saw 5 deers crossing the road. then about 1 mile later I saw at least 6 turkeys crossing the road. These are the time I wish i had a camera on the road with me. I thought it was pretty strange.

What a wonderful spring day. I have seen so many turkeys already this year. Love your picture of the cat.

Wonderful day it looks like. Wonderful little prayer too.

I think kitties should be kept indoors, too. Our vet (we have four indoor cats) told us that indoor cats live longer and much healthier lives. Happier, too. Very true. I would let them go outside ONLY if they caught and killed tiger mosquitoes. ;-)
Lovely photos!

There are wild turkeys here in Hawaii too up in the hills. Not many cats, though, from what I've seen. Hope you have a wonderful Easter!

I love it when we go from snow to a beautiful day of spring, it makes me see how life can change rapidly from one extreme to the next, and in the case of snow, from cold beauty to sunshine. Nice post
