Sweet Pea and I did twenty miles on Gateway Trail last Thursday.
You can click on the map for a nice enlargement.
Wooly caterpillar... we saw about 30 of them ... and the interesting thing is that every one of them was really chugging along.
It was a lovely autumn day.
Saturday we did a 5K race for leukemia/lymphoma (in which we have personal interest!)
As you can see, we parked fairly near the start line.
Below.. a tree closer to home.

Oh man, I don't think I've seen a wooly caterpillar since I left California. And such beautiful trees and colors in your photos. Thanks for sharing your fall with us!
Lovely fall colors! Our weather turned on us this morning, but was expected with my radar watching and your forecast. Twenty miles! I can only imagine. Maybe next year I'll tackle the big distance again.
Both of your comments on my Maine Marathon are greatly appreciated! Yes, I do take salt tabs & gels with electrolytes during my races. I suspect the large fluid deficit in the first half is probably why I experienced the aches & pains later. Fortunately, endurance was not an issue, even when sick. Thanks for stopping by!
While I don't miss that season that comes after fall, i do miss the leaves changing here in So. CAli. Thanks for the pics.
I love the colors of the tree photo. :-)
Love the fall photos!
Beautiful tree, and primo parking spot!
